Frequently Asked Questions

Epoxy countertops are crafted using a combination of epoxy resin and a hardener. This mixture is poured onto various surfaces, creating a durable and customizable countertop or shower wall. The epoxy cures into a glossy or matte, seamless, and long-lasting finish.

Why look like everyone else? Our countertops are hand created and designed to your specific place; they can be anything you want them to be. Epoxy products can mimic natural stone but with a hint of color you won’t find in nature, or they can be vibrant and full of color. Maybe you don’t want all your counters or walls the same, perhaps you would like our island to be a show case, we can do that too. With all the color options out there, we can make it the way you want it. And usually at a more cost-effective price than Granite or Marble.

Why settle for an off the shelf product when you can have a hand-crafted, durable, beautiful, solid surface product that will make your kitchen, office, or bathroom stand out and create value.

Technically, yes. Do we do it? No. The reason we do not is there are so many variables in an existing countertop and home, this sets up the counter for potential failure. Also, if we were to do try pouring over your countertops, we would need to take over your area for a minimum of a 10 days (depending on complexity much longer) without you being to enter the area.

We actually build the countertop from scratch so it perfectly fits your area (this also allows for some creativity if desired). We then do all the pouring and protective coating in our climate-controlled shop. This allows us to control the process from start to finish, setting your countertops to last you for many years to come. This also minimizes the time your kitchen or area are not available to you.

With our process our countertops are super scratch resistant and heat resistant to 475 degrees. They are easy to clean and can take a lot of traffic and use. They are not however, cut resistant or damage proof, but unlike most countertops we can usually fix the cut or damage and make it look new again. We do recommend that like any other countertop (including natural stone) you put all long-term heating devices such as crock pots, wax warmers, roasters, on a trivet.

We cannot guarantee there won’t be any seams, sometimes this is unavoidable. But with our creation process, most times we can build the countertops and install without any seams. This makes the design shine through without any crevices or lines to break your beautiful pattern or collect dirt.

With the proper care these countertops will last you for many many years. They are built to last and we want your investment to be worthy of the price you pay to get them.

Epoxy countertops usually come in less than the cost of natural stone like granite and marble, but it all depends on your desires. When pricing countertops, know that we price for removal of your current countertop and installation of your new countertop as well as complete construction to your area. Not all natural stone quotes include that. The thing we can provide that natural stone suppliers cannot is it being designed to your area specifically, we want you to have the place you desire with the look you desire, not to be stuck by decorating around what happens to be in the slab yard at the moment.

We put a protective coating on the countertops that make it scratch resistant. You can slide all those items all you want and it will not scratch. However, it can get damaged sometimes by knives or super sharp devices. The great thing about our countertops is that can usually be fixed fairly easy.

Epoxy is heat resistant to up to 475 degrees, so yes, you can put that hot pan or cookie sheet on the counter. However, we do recommend a hot pad if it will be sitting there for a very long time.

We do recommend that like any other countertop (including natural stone) you put all long-term heating devices such as crock pots, wax warmers, roasters, on a trivet.

The epoxy and top coat that we use are completely food safe.

There are zero VOC’s in the epoxy we use. There is a slight smell but it dissipates quickly and most times is gone by the time we install.

Please note that all epoxy will also have the tendency to amber over time. In addition, lighter colors, especially white, will show yellowing much easier. We do use an epoxy with added UV protection but suggest to not expose the lighter surfaces to direct sunlight for long periods of time. We also recommend placing any high heat appliance (Crock pot, Air Fryer, Candles or Wax and Essential Oil warmer) on a raised trivet to help disperse the heat.

Additionally, the use of a predominately white color in an RV which can retain heat, or vacation home left without AC on is not recommended or covered by our warranty due to the potential ambering.

We offer a 1-year adhesion warranty. If the coating delaminates, peels, bubbles, or cracks due to improper installation or workmanship we will address the issue and make any necessary repairs. We work hard to deliver a top-quality product with client satisfaction, but there are some things we are unable to accept responsibility for. If our instructions are not followed and there is damage to the surface, we will not be held liable. Scratches and cuts are not a warrantable item, and repairs will be charged a fee.
